I am registering a compiler on the Intel website. One of the things you have to do to set up your account is to choose from a list of questions and give them the answer. The question I was going to use is 'What is your mother's maiden name?'. When I submit the form it complains that it is too short, it has to be at least 10 characters. In fact, the answers to an enormous number of the questions are shorter than 10 letters e.g. What is your spouse's middle name (treating 'partner' as spouse for this purpose), what is the name of the first school you attended, what is the name of the city you were born, what was your first phone number, what was your first teacher's name. The 3 that probably would be long enough I don't know (in 2 cases) and one I have a faint aversion to using my anniversary date for something as crummy as an Intel compiler registration.
Oh well, I have just told them I was born in Ulan Bator and fortunately it does allow spaces.
