Retropunk thought for the day

Imagine if the web had been invented in the 60s. Britain could just not have coped. Consider that plays had to be approved by the Lord Chamberlain until the passage of the Theatres Act 1968. Why should Flash animations be treated any differently? Please submit your Flash animation to approval@lordchamberlain.gov.uk. Or would they be treated like films and your website vetted by local councillors or the British Board of Web Classification. Or would it be treated like TV? That would make the UK web directory pretty short

1 www.bbc.co.uk
2 www.itv.co.uk (with 14 subdirectories for the regions)
3 er.. that's it, Ed.
