Sinister Quotes

It has to be said that there is sometimes something vaguely sinister in the use of single quotes in BBC RSS feed headlines e.g.
"Pope 'in Vatican for Easter'" and "Pope 'to be home for Easter'". In both cases I cannot help but feel that text could be interpreted as being euphemisms for dead - i.e. there are a large number of popes in the Vatican, one level down from St. Peter's, in boxes. And as for 'home', this could be interpreted as 'promoted to glory' as the Salvation Army say.
