On a lighter, fluffier note

Looking back at the last two entries one might detect a certain curmudgeonly aspect to my last two entries, so on a lighter, fluffier note, I had a walk this afternoon along the Kennet and Avon Canal in Reading - strictly the River Kennet I guess.
Canals through towns / cities are often fascinating and this is no exception. Reading is very reminiscent of London, the general environment along the canal path reminds me of the Grand Union Canal, along which I spent many happy hours wandering in my youth.
I must remember to take my camera next time - particularly with some 'stitch things together to give a 360 degree picture' software, since the ruins of Reading Abbey are by the canal bank close to a new office block and a truly bizarre piece of sculpture.
