The car DAB radio has also miraculously started working properly again. It has been suspiciously binary i.e. it has gone from 'not very good' to 'how it was to start with', which makes me think it is down to a loose connection rather than the aerial getting damp or something. Or maybe it just heard me talking about its putative replacement and decided to shape up...
