Those techno-trousers are mine

Vodafone seems to have lost the functionality whereby you can buy a 'web pack' in advance and queue them up, and also the functionality to buy them on the web rather than on ones phone - so now one effectively has to buy them, by automated system on the phone on the day the last one expired. I tried their online chat to ask them where the option had gone, but this of course entailed telling them my details and the name of my first pet which I had forgotten (presumably I had gone for first hamster rather than first dog). At this point I made my excuses and left, on the grounds that the whole thing is utterly pointless if they won't answer questions not requiring any personal details (e.g. 'where is this option') without taking your life history. It then popped up a questionnaire on what I thought of the experience, so I told them, making the comment that I'm sure it wasn't the fault of the people I actually interacted with. They have 'previous' with this, the only time I have ever lost my temper with someone on the phone was when I phoned up Vodafone about an identity theft thing and they wouldn't talk to me or pass me to anyone useful because I had a pay as you go account not a contract - obviously I made the point that I needed to talk to someone and would have needed to even if I didn't have any account with them. Sigh.

Therefore, what I really want is a MVNO that uses the Vodafone network, but there don't seem to be any good ones. Ho hum.
