It's slow, it crashes, it's written in Java

So, the local council website's election page has crumbled under the no doubt enormous load of people trying to look at the results. And yes, Java and Apache Tomcat.

Lots of 2 member wards with one LibDem and one Tory - people obviously punishing the LibDems for going into a national coalition with the Tories by, er, voting Tory.

In the one ward I looked at before the server crashed (ours) I see that that first Tory and first LibDem in alphabetical order were elected. If only Aaron A Aardvark had been persuaded to stand. (The null hypothesis has got to be that a decent number of people voted for the Green or the Labour and one LibDem).
