# Do you remember John Prescott? Do you remember Tone? #

I see from my copy of Tramways And Urban Transit that the shadow transport minister is enthusiastic about light rail. This obviously, well obviously if you are me, lead to the thought of a song on the lines of 501 AM from The Pros And Cons Of Hitch-hiking by Roger Waters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6_-dmrUVwE (warning, 80s-tastic rather crass video) with the backing singers singing 'These are the things that the Labour Party is enthusiastic about in opposition, These are the things that the Labour Party is enthusiastic about in opposition'.

(Part of the appeal of The Pros And Cons of Hitch-hinking, if I am honest the only appeal is the way the album wibbles on in noodley-prog fashion until suddenly you get this track and the bunch of women backing singers singing 'these are the pros and cons of hitch-hiking'.)

(See also 'Hat Too Flat' on '11 Tracks of Wack' by Walter Becker - lyrics here -

Skirts will be shorter
Legs stay long
Virtual raincoats are coming back
Hats as always continued flat
