Why do the credits of a not very good 1970s children's programme invoke far more nostalgia, given that, specifically, (a) I wasn't a paper boy (b) didn't live oop North (c) didn't work for the guy who ran the bar in Minder mysteriously moonlighting as a newsagent, say, than looking at photos of me as a child, my late parents, photos of the terraced houses more or less across the street from where I grew up (a pub was directly opposite) being demolished and replaced with flats etc.?
Of course my childhood itself did not have a sound-track by Renaissance...
