Great Dane SF (I said a-woof)

Looking in Borders yesterday I noticed that the Interzone on the magazine stand was the long heralded Mundane SF issue, I am probably hanging out in the wrong corners of the noosphere but after all the muttering about Mundane SF, the actual arrival of the Mundane SF issue of IZ seems to have been completely ignored.
Once again I marvel at the sheer ugliness of Interzone. Could fiction in an A4 format be made any less appealing. I'm sure that Omni (not quite A4, probably some mutant USian page size) wasn't quite as unappealing. Ah, nostalgia, who remembers the JS&A adverts for vaguely useless but space-age gadgets?
