Hawking for dummies

I have never been quite sure what the differential diagnosis between 'mild flu' and cold is supposed to be. A couple of people at work have been off work in the last few weeks with what sounded to me like mild flu so maybe this was flu rather than a summer cold (and not in a 'I worked in PR for Carlton Communications in the 90s' sense). But I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be able to run 13.1 miles with the flu. But then doing it with a cold is clearly not wise, but I might well have spent the afternoon and evening barfing anyway.
I am now at the hacking cough stage, which is tiresome. Gah.

The hounds are disappointed, clearly on the basis that t__m__i gone out and me not usually means ridies. Not now, I'm afraid, even if she didn't have the car.

This you have got to listen to

Fans of the strange must at all costs listen to Topology - "The Whitlam Dismissal" on this week's Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone - from
The Australian constitutional crisis set to music, with the politicians and reporters words synced to the music (and, in a sense, vice versa). Starts at about 1hr 10m into the show and lasts about 17 minutes.

See http://www.topologymusic.com/davidson/whitlam.htm - there are some Real Audio files on that page but Mr Maconie (whom God preserve), of Utrecht played the whole thing.
