The Gentleman Broadcaster

I commend to you the podcast of the Gentleman Broadcaster's 'Tom Robinson Introducing...' http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/tom_robinsons_introducing/
Unlike some of the Big British Castle's podcasts, this one plays complete tracks rather than fading the songs out after one minute.
As I have said before, I find the 'Introducing...' banner under which the new music shows now operate more than somewhat irksome in a trying too hard Mr. Alternative Carpark 'I am a mime, my body is my tool' sort of way. However, I appreciate the way that Mr Robinson, a man ever older than I, can say things like '.. is a band and web-comic project' without the merest hint of a smirk.
And actually the last one I downloaded had a number of things on it almost good enough that I might download some more of their stuff.

I need to record some of the Radio 1 music shows to see what, if anything, is listenable to these days. Huw Stephens used to be OK before the 'introducing...' stuff.

In principle my car radio can wake itself up and record shows to an SD card, however that seems much too like black magic to me and I am (probably irrationally) worried about it flattening the battery.
