Knee-jerk Reactions R Us

"Prime Minister Tony Blair has been urging young people to consider a career in science. In a speech, he said the UK must "stand up for science", and make sure the next generation has the right expertise."

Because if you don't grow up to become scientists we lawyers will have no-one to sue and/or take lots of money from for defending etc.

I get the same reaction when I see reports on the lines of 'a report from one of the big 4 accountancy firms says we need more entrepreneurs in this country'.

In other news a spokes-mosquito urges cows to continue having calves.

Yes, this is not a nice reaction, so sue me :-) (probably what I said is illegal under the Solicitor / Barrister / Accountant anti-defamation act of 1997).
