A fine section in the Friday Grauniad about the ethnic diversity of London. It includes a map of areas particularly associated with people with origins in different countries, which is something I have looked for before on t'interweb and failed to find. This article says a number of things I have often said myself. Apart from the thing about food that I'm sure everyone who knows me IRL has heard me say many times, I particularly like the following sentiment: "People do not come here to become English, in the way that they go to New York to become Americans. People come to London to be themselves - their children and grandchildren can be English if they want. "
