Even more thrilling day

Two awk scripts to convert some data (one over 100 lines which tends to be my rule of thumb for abandoning awk and writing in something else), one C++ console program to do something that could probably be easily done in Perl or Ruby if this didn't mean (a) working out how to do it and (b) arranging that everyone running the program had the appropriate stuff installed, and the ongoing rewrite of the stuff that Had To Go (TM).

Still, now the C++ console app is written it will probably come in handy again as a 'template' for similar things.

The cable modem has recovered from its hiccup yesterday (famous last words), though the NTL mail server appears to be down.

Also yoga.
