Much to my surprise he did get round to leaving the UK and got as far as Portugal. Then he decided he would come back to the UK, get himself committed, give me power of attorney and let me sort his two divorces out. He then changed his mind having got back to Spain and decided to stay in the south of europe. He phoned me up yesterday from a payphone to talk at me, as he does from time to time, and he seemed to be leaning back towards the 'back to the UK and getting himself committed' scenario.
The subject of 'potty training' was raised, so at least the two of us agree on something - the importance of potty training to explain quirks in peoples personalities. I, however, think that Libertarianism is potty training related, whereas he thinks it is related to the urge to buy expensive fridges. Perhaps we should do a survey on the cost of fridges purchased by Libertarians and non-Libertarians.
