As part of my ceaseless quest for irk and disappointment I have bought a copy of Anathem. Wish me luck...

Halfway through it and rather enjoying it.

Having said that, I see it as a novel about philosophy of science, which is kind of my thing.

I might like to borrow it some time. Though I haven't read all that much else by him, apart from Snow Crash (enjoyed) and the Diamond Age (likewise) - got put off by the size of some of the recent ones, which makes me wonder if I'd like this one or not...
