Following on from a recent post and promoting the comment thread to the root, and on the basis that this is for entertainment only, would the team care to suggest works of written SF that might make good TV serials achievable within the high budgets and resultant production values of, say, Torchwood and the Survivors remake?
To get the badger rolling, the things that leaped to my mind were The Affirmation and The Glamour by former bright young thing Mr Priest, and zengineer suggested Marooned In Realtime by Vernor 'rhymes with thingy' Vinge.
Any more?
